Thailand Privilege Agent Fees: What Authorized Agents Can and Cannot Charge

Thailand Privilege one-price policy — the official price and the authorized agent price are the same; no agent fee, no application fee, no agent discount, no fast-track background check

In short

The Thailand Privilege membership price is set by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. (TPC) and is the same whether you apply through TPC or an authorized agent. TPC requires its authorized agents to sell at the official published price: for the Thailand Privilege application itself, an agent should not add an agent fee, application fee, or processing fee, and should not offer its own discount or cashback. No agent can fast-track the government background check before TPC issues the approval letter. A quote above or below the official published price, or a promise of faster approval, is a red flag to check with TPC before you pay.

What is the one-price policy?

The one-price policy means every authorized Thailand Privilege agent quotes the same official membership price published by TPC. "One-price policy" is our plain-English name for this rule. TPC communicates it directly to its authorized agents and partners rather than publishing it on its website, so you will not find the phrase there. TPC sets the price of each membership tier, from ฿650,000 (Bronze, 5 years) to ฿5,000,000 (Reserve, 20 years), and you can compare any quote against our official Thailand Privilege membership prices. Authorized agents are compensated by TPC, not by applicants, which is why applying through an authorized agent should not cost more than applying to TPC directly.

Can an authorized agent charge extra fees?

For the Thailand Privilege application itself, an authorized agent should not add an agent fee, application fee, or processing fee on top of the official published price. TPC's own process has no separate application fee: you pay the membership fee once, after approval, and rejected applicants pay nothing.

Extra charges are not always labelled as a markup. They can appear as a "service fee", "consultation fee", "document handling fee", or "priority processing" charge. If a quote includes any of these, ask for a written breakdown of every charge and check it with TPC before you pay. Services unrelated to the membership application — legal advice, relocation help, property search — are separate purchases and are a different matter, provided they are optional.

Can an authorized agent offer a discount?

No. TPC requires its authorized agents to sell at the official published price, so an authorized agent should not offer a discount below it — however the offer is described. A lower price from one agent is not a better deal on the same membership; it is a sign the offer sits outside the official process, and it is worth confirming the price with TPC before you pay.

Real reductions do exist, but they come from TPC and apply at the same rate through every authorized agent. The current example is the Next Member promotion: ฿750,000 per additional family member on Platinum, Diamond, and Reserve until 31 December 2026. A discount that does not come from TPC is a red flag, not a bargain.

Can an agent fast-track approval?

No. Before TPC issues an approval letter, every applicant is checked by five Thai government bodies: the Immigration Bureau, the Department of Consular Affairs, the Foreign Affairs Division of the Royal Thai Police, the Central Investigation Bureau, and the Anti-Money Laundering Office. The check typically takes around 4–8 weeks, and the timing is set by those agencies. It does not depend on which agent submitted the application.

What an agent can influence is the time around the check: a complete, correct application avoids delays from missing documents. Note that airport "Fast Track" is a different thing — it is the priority immigration service members use after they join, not a faster application.

Red flags to check before you pay

  • A total above the official published price → ask for a written breakdown of every charge and compare it with TPC's price.
  • A discount or cashback below the official published price → confirm the price with TPC; only TPC promotions reduce it.
  • A promise of faster approval or a "fast-track" background check → the government check cannot be shortened by any agent.
  • A request to pay the membership fee before approval, or to a personal or agent account → confirm TPC's official payment process before sending money.
  • An agent you cannot find on TPC's published agent list → check TPC's authorized agent list. Our guide on how to verify a Thailand Privilege agent walks through it.

Thailand Privilege prices and procedures can change, so verify current prices and an agent's authorization with TPC directly.

Why we published this guide

This guide is not aimed at any agent or company, and it is not meant to discredit anyone. Most applicants only buy a Thailand Privilege membership once, so they have no way of knowing what a normal quote or timeline looks like. Our aim is simply to help every applicant — whichever agent they choose, or if they apply to TPC directly — apply safely, pay the correct price, and avoid misleading offers or fraud.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Thailand Privilege agents charge extra fees?

For the Thailand Privilege application itself, an authorized agent should not. Authorized agents are compensated by TPC, not by applicants, so the official published price is the price you pay. If an agent quotes an agent fee, application fee, or processing fee, ask for a written breakdown and check it with TPC before you pay.

Is the Thailand Privilege price the same through an agent?

The Thailand Privilege membership price is set by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. (TPC) and is the same whether you apply through TPC or an authorized agent. TPC requires its authorized agents to sell at the official published price: for the Thailand Privilege application itself, an agent should not add an agent fee, application fee, or processing fee, and should not offer its own discount or cashback. No agent can fast-track the government background check before TPC issues the approval letter. A quote above or below the official published price, or a promise of faster approval, is a red flag to check with TPC before you pay.

Can a Thailand Privilege agent give me a discount?

No. TPC requires its authorized agents to sell at the official published price, so a discount or cashback below it is not permitted under TPC's rules for its agents. The only price reductions are official TPC promotions, which apply at the same rate through every authorized agent. Treat any other discount as a red flag and confirm the price with TPC.

Can an agent fast-track Thailand Privilege approval?

No. The background check is carried out by five Thai government bodies, and TPC issues the approval letter when it is complete — typically around 4–8 weeks. No agent can shorten it. What an agent can do is submit a complete, correct application so it is not delayed by missing documents.

How do I check a Thailand Privilege agent before paying?

Check three things: the agent appears on TPC's published agent list; the quoted total matches TPC's official published price with no added fees; and the membership fee is paid to TPC only after approval. Anything that does not match is worth confirming directly with TPC before you pay.
